Ogomadara is the biggest butterfly, which inhabits Japan and is seen on Ishigaki-jima Island, Iriomotejima-Island the whole year. Ogomadara eats Houraikagami, (the kind of the grass) which has a toxin, at the time of larva, and putting the poison into the body, it becomes golden pupa and approximately two weeks later becomes an imago. Because of the poison in it's body birds do not eat it, it is also called the “Poison Butterfly”.
