Iwaogakigani

Iwaogakigani belongs to the department of crab family, it inhabits the hollows of a coral reef, or in holes. The color of the body is purple brown, the color of the eye is red and, it is also edible in southern islands because of it has no toxicity. This crab is sung about in the folk songs of Yaeyama region, and Yafutsuankan and Hyangan also do the same.

Tsumabeni butterfly (A kind of star fish) [Peculiar creature]

Tusmabeni butterfly belong to the Shirocyo family and is distributed throughout the southern regions including Okinawa, and is the biggest butterfly in the Shirocyo department. The color of feathers has a black spot in orange and white. A male has few portions with black spots and stops at the flower of a hibiscus. Gyoboku is also liked and eaten.

Suijigai (A kind of star fish) [Peculiar creature]

Suijigai has the profound quality of the shellfish and with six legs looks like a starfish, the body color is reddish brown with a black spot and the sands of a coral reef are inhabited.
